Elections
Nominations were made on: Saturday, March 28, 2009 - 9:00 a.m. to 10:30
at Gold Creek Community Church "Theater Room" (4326 - 148th Street SE)
We closed this meeting on Monday night May 4th at 8:30 pm.
Elections for becoming a member of the Board of Directors are held once a year during the official Annual Homeowners Meeting in the Spring. The HOA board sent an announcement toward the beginning of the year. Candidates must notify the board of their intentions to be on the ballot by date set forth in the announcement.
The official quorum requirement for an election is 40% of all 159 homes or 64 homes. Each home or lot must be represented at the meeting either in person, or by proxy, or by mail-in vote. Faxes are an acceptable form of a mail-in vote. For a director to be elected there must be an affirmative vote of 50% + 1 of those represented at the meeting.
Once the votes are tallied after the meeting and a new board is presented, the new board will immediately step aside and choose its officers. The new board will then present the new offices to the homeowners at the meeting. From that point, the new President will conduct the remainder of the meeting.
The Kingsridge HOA is made up of a minimum of 3, but not more than 9 directors. There are the following officer positions:
President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, ACC Committee Leader
Proxies
Proxies must be filled out and signed by the homeowner. If at all possible, proxies should be signed in the presence of a witness. Proxies may be mailed, faxed, or dropped off at an officer’s home or at the meeting itself.
Proxies will be good for 11 months. A homeowner may choose the purpose of the proxy as well as the person who will be the proxy.
On the second page of the proxy, a homeowner may select from the following choices:
1. All matters coming before the Association for Decision during ALL General Meetings, including this meeting, and ALL Special Assessment Meetings effective until the next Annual Homeowner’s Meeting held in spring.
2. All matters coming before the Association for Decision during ALL General Meetings, including this meeting, BUT NOT Special Assessment Meetings effective until the next Annual Homeowner’s Meeting held in spring. The homeowner will either attend the Special Assessment Meetings in person or appoint a new proxy at that time.
3. All matters coming before the Association for Decision during THIS ANNUAL MEETING ONLY.

We hired a Property Management company to assist us in monitoring bills, accounts, escrow requests, maintenance and they will be collecting outstanding HOA Dues.
